Next fall, the 2009 - 2010 school year,  Redland Elementary School will open and serve students in kindergarten through sixth grade.  This is Elmore County's newest school and will be unique in many ways. 

The school will eventually have a "classroom of the future", which will have the capability for touch screen, laptops, and other technology that will help the kids learn.   These advancements will not all be in place when the doors open, but the school system is committed to making this school a success.   The school will also be wireless so each classroom will have the capability to use laptops.

There will also be an outdoor classroom that will have a courtyard, which will be beautiful, and teachers will be able to use this for outdoor instruction.

Brookwood is excited to have Redland Elementary School accessible through its neighborhood, making it within walking distance.   Below is the overall plat of Brookwood in relations to the new school.
